Wow, it finally snowed. We got a huge 6 inches! That is expected to be the big storm of the winter and we’re done now. It wasn’t quite enough to bother pulling out the snow blower. Unfortunately, I had to work so didn’t go take pictures. No excuses really, there are 24 hours in the day and after sleeping, eating, working, commuting, shoveling, and showering, I should have had an hour or two left to go out and play. I chose to blog and stuff on the computer instead. It’s my own fault.
By the way, I wasn’t sure if I needed two “L’s” in shoveling, so I tried the blog spellchecker for the first time. It tells me the only word it doesn’t understand is “blog.” Wouldn’t you think they would add “blog” to the list of recognizable words in a blog spell checker? I also notice it lets me do spellchecker together and spell checker split up, so now I don’t know which is correct. Fortunately, I know somebody who knows so if I cared, I could always ask. I don’t care.

I just posted my first entry on my other (photo) blog. Apparently having my own website, a Flickr photo page, photos posted on many other sites, and this personal blog wasn’t enough for me. I had to go start another blog just to hog up more cyberspace. I guess it mostly stems from posting more photos on my Flickr page recently. A lot more people are seeing my work now and some people either ask questions or post comments about them. Sometimes it makes me want to reply with more than one or two sentences in a comment spot.
Blogs seem to be a nice easy way to post a photo with whatever I want to say about it and leave it there for anyone to comment if they want. After some questions about technique, I thought I would do a separate blog for my photography so I could write and explain certain images. I will still throw a photo or two on here now and then, but this blog is more personal stuff, so the photo will be either personal, goofy, less professional, off the cuff, unedited, or something like that.
